So, yesterday I had a call with an HR representative( final call after interviews). She asked me to follow up on something, and when I called her to provide an update, she never answered. I left her a voicemail. I'm curious about how this could have happened. I don’t even have her email address to reach out to her. What would be the best way to proceed?Do you think I should call her again within 24 hours, or should I wait longer?" #hr #people #recruiting
Honestly I’m not sure if my voicemail is even set up. I’d text them.
Texting recruiters wouldn’t annoy them?
I guess it depends. I tell my candidates it’s ok to text me, but others might feel differently. I guess it depends on how badly you want to get ahold of this person.
That can happen for variety .. like she might be talking to someone. But you can do so much. I had a situation VM was full. 1 followup only. What I do if no email ... Leave a VM and then text them immediately saying left you a voice with the details. Yes, text them like if you left a VM at 9 Am text them before 5 pm. then leave it forever until they follow up again. If in the afternoon then text them next morning at 9am. You do not need to wait 24hrs but not over business hrs of the recruiter.

What are you calling her back for? If she didn’t follow up with an email I’m sure she will check her voicemail. Some systems send a voicemail to email as well
Do you advise me to follow up within 24 hours?
