Title. I’ve been following up at what I feel like is an appropriate cadence (one week intervals), but I’ve pretty much done so after every stage of the process (recruiter phone screen, technical phone screen, on site). I’ve also had some issues where the recruiter just wouldn’t respond for like a month and I would follow up once or twice during that period. Am I being too paranoid about this? Would this recruiter get pissed at me for sending one last email?
Had to do that with apple. Everytime I'd follow up I would get a response that progressed me further. Maybe a coincidence, but I'd like to feel that it was helpful.
How long did you have to follow-up with Apple? I'm 4-days post-onsite, and have sent a thank you note to the recruiter & HM (through the recruiter) the day after onsite. Haven't heard back, so I'm preparing myself for rejection.
Just be cool, rejection comes fast. Offers take time. I waited a week.
Ugh, I feel you. If it's good news, just say you need more time. If it's bad news, then say so, and let the candidate move on with her/his life. I hope you get good news though, OP!
My recruiter was really painful to deal with. Initially I felt bad about following up but then it became a damn necessity in order to get things moving.
Once a week is just right
Why would they be mad? It's their job to deal with this.
Do you ever get frustrated doing your job? Same idea.
