Do university grades matter for TN visa?
Grades for one of the study I didn’t finish are not great and I’m wondering if this will hurt my case for getting a TN visa.

No, all that matters is that you graduated from an accredited school, and what your degree is (if you claim to be a software engineer your degree should be in computer science or software engineering).
