Do you agree with this Linkedin post

From a Linkedin post: I never understand why is FAANG(Facebook , Amazon , Apple , Google) so popular among freshers. There are companies like 1. Salesforce 2. Atlassian 3. Adobe which have equally well or better paychecks and amazing work-life. There are companies like 1. Tower Research Capital 2. Graviton Research Capital LLP 3. Sprinklr 4. Cure.Fit 5. Codenation Innovation Labs 6. Directi who usually pay higher than FAANG. There are startups like 1. CRED 2. Postman 3. ShareChat that have immense learning opportunities. Investment banks/Hedge Funds like 1. Goldman Sachs 2. JPMorgan Chase & Co. 3. Arcesium 4. The D. E. Shaw Group with challenging and thrilling work and huge paychecks. The list is never ending. Don't be blinded by what you consume on social media. Choose what's best for you yourself. Life is NOT a race. Edit: I missed a lot of amazing work places. I wrote only those where my friends are working and I know their pay and work.

FAANG was the best path to a very good career for the past decade for large swaths of people.

FAANG seems popular because they hire so many employees. Amazon alone has 600k employees. Companies like Rentec seem less popular because they have only 300 employees. That’s why you never see Rentec on your LinkedIn feed.

LOL I can speak to 3 companies on this list and let me tell you that GS pays in peanuts and Atlassian is much lower than FANG.

Sprinklr categorised under "who usually pay higher than FAANG" is the funniest joke here.

They do, but to only few who survive the shit show going on here for long.. Seen 45base for 8month experience guys but only 1-2 of them, 40 base for 8mo exp for 10-12 guys, most people got 35 base after few months at sprinklr. TC progression in recent years has been like (30->35-45->45-60), I dont think FAANG can beat this on avg (if not for maintaining same stock growth) But pls dont be fooled by these numbers, if the money is high, the attrition is also very high, also number of new hire enegineers are less than 200 every year, sprinklr doesnt hire at senior level usually, only internal promotion, also other thing is nobody wants to come to sprinklr due to bad culture prevelant here

Also haven't verified personally but here 5-7yoe go 1cr-1.25cr , saw this in internal blind threads, some outliers mentioned were 2.5cr for 2018 grad but that was an outlier But these guys are really talented ones + workaholic to survive in this amount of toxicity. If you can cope up with ridiculous wlb and deliver well in sprinklr , pay will never be an issue.

Truly LinkedIn level post. Put GS, JPM and D.E. Shaw in one bucket. Sell-side pay little Good luck with getting into tower research capital FAANG is good because it’s clear how to prepare and they hire a lot It’s like BIG3 vs. Pershing Square. It’s probably cool to hang with Bill Ackman but he’s not coming on your campus
