I’m not trying to be controversial, I’ve just been on Twitter a lot lately and see loads of things suggesting it might not have happened like we were taught so I’m just trying to get an idea who how widespread this thinking is. Poll attached Thanks
It did happen unfortunately
That’s Twitter, unfortunately. Since it happened so recently, you don’t need to rely on historians to tell you what they think happened. You can listen to firsthand accounts. https://www.ushmm.org/remember/holocaust-reflections-testimonies
OP is a right-wing extremist. He's pretending to be "just asking questions" but he's really trying to push Holocaust denial. Same guy who made this post about how certain races of people are inferior. https://www.teamblind.com/us/s/gSXjHwNV Who knows, maybe next week he'll be saying "what do you think about those rumors that Jewish people eat babies? Idk I'm just asking questions!!!"
I thought both republicans and demos are pro Israel. Most progressives are pro Palestines.
How do you “think” it happened?
History made Holocaust a Jewish thing, but in fact just 1/3 were Jews.
1/3 of what? Of the entire WW2?
6 million of 17 million killed in concentration camps. Many Russians died, about half of them were POW.
Your knowledge of history should not depend on popular opinion. Base your trust on sources that have over many decades built trust with the community. O’Riley publications, penguin, etc.
It did We meet a fair bit of survivors from the holocaust but Schindlers list has showed us a much more grim picture of the concentration camps
Tolkien also painted a grim picture of orcs
Those claims are as ridiculous as saying Japan saved people in its neighboring asian countries by liberating them from monarchs and industrializing them.
We would never know things (with 100% accuracy) that we have not experienced ourselves.
I think that is a silly point. Did you ever hear of a magic trick?
Palestinians are oppressed said 1000 YT channels. Israelis are right to retaliate said another 1000. This is where confirmation bias kicks in. So the truth is obscure and can only be known if you, yourself experienced it.
> been on Twitter a lot lately lol
Where did you grow up?
My aunt went to high school in Texas and they were taught that the south WON THE WAR
