I am an early c level employee at a startup and am fighting for cashless exit for my stock options. I would never be able to afford to buy them. Curious which other companies do and don’t offer cashless exit?
Yes sorry cashless exercise
Were the terms in your employment agreement? If so you agreed by taking the offer.
No they weren’t - only the %. been there 1.5 years and only now getting my option grant
Is that weird? Our company is not huge
yeah that was unfair. i deleted my comment. if you are c level just ask the board. they aren’t going to care what other companies do. with 1.5 years there as an inexperienced CxO i can tell you tho, they aren’t going to have much sympathy. just exercise what you can afford
I know what our board thinks - I just don’t think it works. I know this is an ongoing discuss in SV. My company is based in Rome and I think they don’t know
