Coming from a non technical position in Ecommerce and trying to break into product management in tech. My position is similar to a PM (brand management). I’m fairly technical - have created iOS apps since high school, a dozen data science projects. I usually just put in my github in my resume, and talk about the projects during interview. Do interviewers look at personal websites? Do you go check and download my iOS apps? TC: 120k YOE: 1.5
Yes but I don’t expect anything. It serves only to help, not to hurt.
As long as they aren’t tutorials? I’m not sure for PM though. I’ve seen new grads post portfolios, and a lot of it is stuff that’s almost copy+pasted from the tutorials, which doesn’t mean anything. I think I’ve generally only looked at portfolios (software engineering) of candidates I feel are boardline no or a “I think this person might be exactly what we are looking for.” I’ve generally only been disappointed with the borderline no portfolios, so I’m not sure I’ll even check those out anymore.
Not sure what that means strategy side for you, but that’s how I see portfolios on the software engineer hiring side.

I personally would, but all of the pm I've interviewed so far, none of them had a porfolio but they had prev pm exp. as a pm myself, I also do not have a portfolio. but I think it would be beneficial for you if it actually works well.
