I hate my f***** life
I’ve a contract position offer with American Airlines as Sr. Operations Research scientist and a fulltime offer with Discount tire as sr. Data scientist. Both are offering same pay but fulltime has bonuses etc. I’m little inclined to discount tire’s fulltime position due to the fact that it’s a highly visible position but American Airlines is a bigger company although im not direct employee. What do you recommend ?#datascience #operationsresearch #contractor #fulltime #american airlines
A contract position needs to pay more than full time for you to even consider it
Thanks for your view
Op which location?
I have no idea on these roles. But just my 2 cents as someone who worked in Airlines. The airline industry is very volatile. The first people to be affected are contractors. But like you said American is a good company. I would take it any day if it was a full-time opportunity just for the flight benefits. So unless you think you can convert the role to a full-time eventually I don't think it makes sense. But then again I don't have any idea about Discount tire.
Always take full time. Contractors come and go. If you were being paid a significantly higher wage, you could argue. No one gives a shit about the “client” you worked for.
Thanks for the comment
