I have been at Amazon 11 years 5 different teams. My experience of working at Amazon and reading blind comments is completely different. Things I noticed on blind: 1. On blind it seems everyone has had an amazingly bad experience at Amazon. 2. Amazon is the worst paying company 3. Work at Amazon is mediocre for tech What am I missing. Is it that Amazon employs far more than other companies and hence the number of disgruntled employees are more and hence more negative reviews/comments. Update: Based on all the comments. I have reached this conclusion. 1. Amazonians are mad at Amazon due to PIP (some have been pipped, most have heard or read about it) and RTO. 2. Some Amazonians have been in orgs or teams where they felt leadership was incompetent and sweet talk backstabbing was prevelant. 3. Most comments are by Non Amazonians, who are here to just have fun and look down on Amazon. 4. People don't trust others on Blind even when offered a helping hand and will easily get defensive or insult others if they feel someone doesn't agree with their opinions.
It is not that bad but it’s worse than it used to be … it is just another corporation but it used to be amazing with many innovations and big ideas .. so it is the nostalgia especially if you have been here for some time
Hello sir am looking for Amazon IT job . Will work double hard and double hrs even onsite no tension . Pl give job sir want to be big man like you with wife as pretty as aunty
You’re already a big man VP!
Thank you aunty
Try to join another company to widen your perspective. People who stayed at one companies for too long might lose track of reality (e.g how bad their company are)
I have total 19 years of experience. Have worked at 5 companies including Yahoo and nVidia. So I have some perspective.
Are you an L7 at Amazon? If so, I think they leave you alone as you are senior enough that they don't want to ruffle middle management feathers
Yeah my experience has been good 🤷
Depends on the team. I would say for most, Amazon sucks compared to other companies. I haven’t ran into any issues with Amazon that isn’t present in any other place.
I think If we read things on Blind yes it seems that way. But no one I know has had bad experience. My point is exactly that
Worst out of 6 companies I’ve worked at
It’s team dependent I bet . Team and manager- makes a lot of difference. When u have good manager - who talks well , backs team - experience is great! He often will guide you to the next level .
I read it that you didn't have any personal bad experience but you are providing a blanket comment. Thanks
Well when all of you are Indian helping each other out it's easy.
Very true … it is like a plaque at this stage .. I was looking for internal roles and no American managers hiring …
I didn't understand. Can you explain what happened in your case. If you are specific it will help understand. Again don't use data you read on blind. What is your personal experience
Ok Andy
