Getting access to Gmail, YouTube and other stuff where you use Google sign-in. If not, do you temporarily sign in and sign out if needed? How careful should one be with personal account access on work laptop? I see some people logging into all possible websites with their personal credentials including signing in to Chrome. TC 220K
No! My personal shit doesn’t live on work machines.
Uhh, I thought everyone did. I certainly do.
Yes show they can read all those recruiter emails trying to make me quit 😂
Nah
Nope. Phone is enuf
I do. but there is nothing incriminating or private enough in there that I would be worried about it.
All personal e-mail is banned on company equipment.
Is that a Rakuten specific rule that you've been explicitly informed about?
Yes, and also if you try to visit any personal e-mail site, it will be blocked with a message saying so (and the company records this traffic, so it will be known that you attempted to visit a blocked site).
Sure. My employer can see that anyways.
No you don't. IT will see it and report you. You're as good as fired. Best Buy is hiring!

I do. I know it's not totally safe and I wouldn't do it if there was a risk of there being anything I don't want my employer seeing. I assume anything I view or type on my work computer or on the work network is visible to my company's IT. But I just tend to assume they don't care enough to spy on me extensively as long as I'm not doing anything potentially illegal, dangerous, or damaging to the company.
