Whenever there is a new hire, especially if they are senior+, do you usually stalk them to see if they are a potential threat? i usually do that to see if the new hire is going to raise the bar for all of us.
I look at their experience to learn what they’re bringing to the table.. not as a threat!! Hahaha
After all, if you’re not constantly bringing people who “are a threat” how will your company ever get better??

So let me ask you a question.... If you interview somebody and the person is really rocking good, are you giving a bad review/ use potential veto, just because you feel threatened by the skills or believe the person could raise the bar too much for the team?

of course not, competent people are respected and will earn a strong hire. but that doesn't you failing an interview = somebody veto'd you out because they are threatened lmao
Less experienced hiring team and mangers generally not hire anyone more experienced than them or the team. Even if they make it in the interview process they get easily taken down by asking not relevant questions but still count in the area as a part , last resort can be behavioral. Of course there can be exceptions.

I am starting to think Chinese interviewers currently fail non-Chinese candidates on purpose.
I stalk but mainly out of curiosity and a genuine interest in their past experience lol
I wouldn't call just looking at their profiles stalking.
