Recently shared this info with a friend after they asked and now feeling kinda resentful that I told them. I am a private person and like to keep certain info that way. I just feel super exposed. Don’t know how to get over this feeling. TC: 🥜
If they ask yeah
Never. I find it’s more common to be casual about money when you come from wealthy places or know wealthy people. I’m from a small, blue collar city where everyone judges each other for being successful. I’ve learned to keep quiet about it, and also don’t want to know what other people make.
I feel the same way. I won’t ask about yours so don’t about mine. Even if I am curious about it, except they willingly volunteer it, I would never ask.
So being successful is looked down at? Why would people be like that? Makes me feel like humans at their core are just bitter and selfish
Never
You neither loose any nor they gain. You may motivate them to target for good TC
What if “friend” calculates and decides to get his/her hand on that TC?
It may not happen unless your share your bank account information
You can get over this feeling by telling us. We don’t judge. TC or ..
I don’t lie if they ask
JP pays peanuts anyway brah
Yes, we all compare investing strategies and methods of ensuring we can grow our wealth. This includes my friends who are teachers, and therefore make true 🥜. This also helps us understand who can pay for what portion of any trips. We take trips together that average out in cost to the group’s ability, rather than having to do what the person with the least means is capable of doing. And yes, I make 2X what my next closest friend makes.
Chill bro it’s not end of the day. If you didn’t like sharing keep that in mind for the next time and have a response ready
Other engineers maybe, but otherwise no effing way.
TC?
