Drivers of doordash, GrubHub, bitesquad etc, already have a service have added to their order, is it customary to also tip the driver as well?
There was stories a while back that some of these companies used the in app tip to cover most of the already guaranteed pay. So if it doesn't make a difference on the delivery drivers actual pay I have a hard time justifying it.
I tip 1$ in app and 15% cash
Wow almost 50% don't tip. I only tip because it's the social norm here. If it's becoming more socially acceptable to not tip, then I'd rather not. I already pay for the delivery service. It's confusing to pay an optional and arbitrary amount on top of that.
Service fee != A tip.
Inefficient market, the fees are already close to 100% of the food cost, very hard to justify
