Put everything into target date fund after maxing tax shelters. Done
Read to educate yourself first so that you don't get swindled by a con. Try to understand the many seemingly contradictory views on markets without getting completely brainwashed into a tunnel visioned one-trick pony.

I use Personal Capital to manage my money and investments. They provide financial advisory as well. Would definitely recommend them.
What exactly does their financial advisory service do/provide? I'm an avid Personal Capital user but am wary of any financial advisory service.
I have had them since October. Seems good so far. They diversified my portfolio (currently around $550k in retirement, I’m in my mid 30s). They allow me to be as hands on or hands off with my investments. So far so good.
I don't; I have index funds and a handful of stocks I picked. 110k invested, 44k TC.
