Have an interview coming up for applied scientist roles. What kind of questions can I expect in the on-site? TC: 310 before drop Edit: They’re still hiring.
Aren’t they laying off?
Yes, and?
They just did 10% layoff round
That’s a high TC target for Docu unless you are very senior, especially given recent layoffs.
Meaning? I’m interviewing for p5 or whatever that is. Lead role
I was a lead on a different team years ago there and my TC was like 60% of that. And my peers still there are complaining about new options grants not being as generous (especially compared to pre IPO). So I think beating 310 TC is going to be difficult

How does Peter Principle apply to you?
Are you interviewing in Seattle? I did one last year. Horrible experience. It could be different for you for applied scientist role
Yeah seattle. Can I PM you?
I applied for Sr engineering role, the people who interviewed me were QA turned manager/ Directors who threw a coding question and left the meeting . When I discussed the implementation , they didn’t really understand the code or even my explanation ! There was a another guy who was suppose to do the system design round , read really fast a big paragraph he had written, with no pauses, period ( I never met a human who could read that fast in my life!) and would not budge to repeat. I could not catch the single word he was uttered
