I recently had an offer from Amazon that I declined due to not being able to move. Can HMs still get access to this and consider me for local roles? what is the best advice for me to leverage this offer for local positions? already asked recruiter he told me to apply to local roles but was wondering what is something extra i can do from my end ?
Go find an appropriate role on the job site, apply locally, and then inform them. They're often able to see your previous history. Especially if it's within the same subsidiary.
Inform them how?
When you find the job info online, you can contact someone you know at Amazon to send you the hiring manager's detail (we see more details about each job in the internal listing). Or they could contact the manager on your behalf (fastest option) and explain your situation. Another option is to inform the recruiter that reaches out to you after you submit your application for the new role.
Curious how you got all the way to the offer phase before your inability to move came up. First question: no Second question: you can’t Third question: no Best option is to do exactly what the recruiter said. Apply locally.
