Maybe it’s just me overthinking but I see many people buying $2000 worth of items and checking them out of Costco. Large sofas, tvs etc. and multiple of them. For a second I thought Costco hires such people to checkout large items so it can promote sales. If you see other people buying large items, you are automatically inclined to buy.
If it’s a good deal and people need it then let them buy?
Yeah they totally can. I was initially amazed at how many people purchased it. Then I started growing skeptical.
If they don’t, they should. I agree it is a good idea.
Totally is, it has unknowingly made me “desire” for those items.
People actually buy large items all the time. In the US, people are all consumers and buying too many items including large ones instead of repair or being happy with minimum product a normal thing.
"speaker broke on 2 year old iPhone, better go ahead and spend $900 on the new one"
@Nefrat It sounds to me like you have a third-world mentality.
I prefer to buy larger items from Costco due to their return policy, customer service and quality.
Doubt it, Costco just always has good deals
Possible
Costco does not need to stoop that low.. they are normal people like you and me purchasing large items. There are very few items sold at Costco that one can find cheaper anywhere else, that too with such a generous cash back and return policy.
I don’t think of it as stooping low. Nothing wrong with creating excitement while purchasing. Agree on the quality and generous policies! I’m a fan.
Point being Costco has a ton of sales.. they don’t need to hire people to make fake purchases to encourage others. I can’t even find a parking spot at my local Costco on weekends.
Have you considered writing Fiction ?
It’s on my list.
