Does Google have too many engineers?

We need more PMs and PGMs to make more work for everyone 🙄
They probably have too many managers. Just like everyone else.
We have just about enough to not let anyone work 60 hrs a week like Meta or Amazon
Somehow busywork scales linearly with the number of engineers. Not enough real impactful work to go around though.
18k might be more like the number of engineering teams.
they all seem busy not because the other engineers make them busy by creating useless servies that generate useless traffic
Most orgs are extremely bloated at all large companies. However these large companies can definitely afford it and empire builders.
