I got an offer from Wallmart. Planning to resign on Monday. Does Intuit tries to retain me by making counter offers, I really like to stay back if they match my offer pay. Position: Senior software Engineer Base : 28L YOE : 8 Tenue at Intuit : 3years Offered base : 34L #intuit #Retain #resignation
Hi OP, 28 LPA for 8 YOE is very low.... Amazon is paying 16-17 base for 1-2 YOE I also heard that Intuit has great WLB, is this correct ?
Intuit has great wlb and benefits. OP might have been at Intuit for very long, hence the base hasn't increased much ...
WLB is good. But lot of politics and 80% work is junk.
Op 28 lpa is very low Also pls do share your experience working in intuit
Yes They do try to retain , but totally depends on the manager . I did get a retention bonus before even actually talking about leaving , Had given a hint that I am not happy with the pay . When I resigned , was offered a guaranteed promotion. Did not take it. The promoted position pay scale was lower than the new Offer .
ps: have seen other way also. They did not care when one of my colleagues left. So totally depends on your manager.
More likely, totally depends on the individual’s performance and how easily replaceable they are
Lot of managers left and new managers had come. So no idea, how it's going to be.
New managers will be clueless, they will look up to thier bosses.
TC?
Bro how is WLB at Intuit ?
Depends on team, it was hectic few months ago. But leaders caught up with reality and are fixing it. Btw, IDC hands on work is a joke! You should be OK until SSE. Staff will have tough times as they run the entire show. PEs are not qualified but they appreciate each other and will have only questions and criticism which anyone can do. If you politely ask them to suggest a proper long term thingy, they will say we will meet in future :)
Depends on what trajectory you are in. How much ever you are important, if you are disrupting and rebel, your resignation will be accepted immediately. Also, I never suggest to stay back after resignation. I know Intuit benefits are best and it is hard to leave the company. But, move on if you need to grow! Dont get into a rut and comfort zone. However walmart is yet another Intuit.
Update us OP ... You resigned?
Yes. Sadly my manager let me go.
Lol!
