Hey folks, I am planning on leaving Meta sometime soon. I would like to know if they ask you to return the phone. Did anyone who quit on your own (not part of layoff) were asked to return? Thanks! #meta

Do you know who is responsible for managing the phones? Is it one or multiple departments? If it’s cross departmental then it likely won’t happen. They would need to release the phone and the phone number from some corporate account with whatever carrier and then likely remove it from some asset tracking system. Are you trying to keep your phone or are you really after your phone number? Getting someone to release your phone number is also possible if they don’t want to give you the phone. Just ask around in other departments, everyone gets the problem of having to change phone numbers.
