Trying to decide whether I should stay in the running with my Uber interview or withdraw because I really don’t want to do this case study. Also don’t want to do it, get the job and the pay be less 🙄
I think the correct way to frame this is "which looks worse"
Ouch.
I don't mean any offense to you personally here, but based on where these two companies are ATM there is some baggage attached to working with them in their present state that people who joined when things were different can avoid. Uber is seen as abusing drivers and Meta is seen as working against democracy. These perceptions that some people have will be reflected on your decision to work there knowing about these issues
Meta of course
Great, I will remove myself from the interview so I don’t have to do this freaking case study.
It’s literally a first letter on FAANG
Either is fine
After googling “case study”, Wikipedia states “A case study is an in-depth, detailed examination of a particular case (or cases) within a real-world context.[1][2] For example, case studies in medicine may focus on an individual patient or ailment; case studies in business might cover a particular firm's strategy or a broader market; similarly, case studies in politics can range from a narrow happening over time (e.g., a specific political campaign) to an enormous undertaking (e.g., a world war). Generally, a case study can highlight nearly any individual, group, organization, event, belief system, or action. A case study does not necessarily have to be one observation (N=1), but may include many observations (one or multiple individuals and entities across multiple time periods, all within the same case study).[3][4][5][6] Research projects involving numerous cases are frequently called cross-case research, whereas a study of a single case is called within-case research.[5][7] Case study research has been extensively practiced in both the social and natural sciences.[8][9]: 5–6 [10][11]”.
At least Uber stonk won't crash like meta plus you don't have to work for that scum zuck. I see that an absolute win
Meta for sure.
The case study took so much time, I don't blame you. Was very satisfying to get an offer after all the work spent on the case study though!
Your work and quantified output looks the best on your resume.
Touché. I’d have pretty big impact projects in both roles.
