Is meta still having issue with their perm??? One friend from meta told me that it’s still difficult as all perm cases are audited…but I thought every perm case in any company is audited anyway? Please advise. Very important to me to make the decision. #Meta #perm
Please tell your tc and we’ll help you.
what is a “perm”
A fancy haircut. AFAIK.
People's Emirate of Russian Motherf*cker.
There is no timeline for the audit yet, compared to other companies, you don't know when you will pass. I have been waiting for PERM since I joined Meta ~2 years ago
Holy shit
Holy , really that's a big problem
If your PD is > 2017, just join. If not, think carefully
I don’t have I-140 yet…
Lol no Brainer then. Don't join!!
Is this the case even if you have I-140 approved?
I have i140 from my previous employer. It doesn't matter
I guess I'm missing something. Why would you need perm again if you have I-140 approved? Mine got approved this year so not sure about the rules
all companies are having issues with perm as of february, Meta just has unfortunate timing w the settlement that adds oil to the flame. uscis is clogged
[Blind] Check out this post! PSA: Do not join Meta if you need a greencard (Tech Industry) https://us.teamblind.com/s/TrRwxpZW
I left Meta a year ago for the same reason. My wife who still works there had her PERM rejected two months ago and there seems to be no path forward. They are reapplying and going through the PERM process again, but the odds of PERM being approved are bleak. She is a PM, however PERM's were rejected for SWE's , EM's and TPM's alike. If you are require an i140 within the next 1-2 years, I would recommend not joining.
It appears that following the lawsuit settlement in June, 2021, all PERM applications for following 6 months will be audited. i..e till end of year 2021. https://www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov/files/OPA/newsreleases/2021/10/eta20211894.pdf Now if Meta filed any PERM in 2022, the earliest you could hear in June/July. So wait and watch as how DOL treats newly filed cases in couple of months time. I think it would be still subject to audit for most cases, and take 9 months-1 year to clear PERM approval, but should not as bad as what in 2020 and 2021. As you can see here for 2020, 2021 cases, almost all were withdrawn, feel bad for all meta mates :( https://h1bgrader.com/green-card/sponsors/facebook-inc-1ok8q3zzkd/perm/2021
Yep, that’s exactly what I heard from meta’s immigration team. To be honest, I’m positive.
That is not true. It is 6 months after Meta resume PERM filing, not 6 months after settlement. > Facebook acknowledges that all PERM applications filed for a six-month period, beginning with the next application filed after the Effective Date of this Agreement, may be audited ...
Your friend from meta should have as much info as anyone else
