Nvidia just sent out an offer without discussing over phone. Recruiter insists it won't negotiate and they are fine if I opt for other offers. 1. anyone had luck negotiating with Nvidia? If so, to what extent(low, high)? 2. I tried IC6 but N insists IC5. TC: 300K N Offer: 355(240/460/60) IC5, RTL Design YOE:12 MS+Phd #nvidiasalary #nvidia
Is this hardware of software, if software, yours is already top of range. Trick with negotiating is you should be able to walk away from the offer to negotiate. So having multiple offers helps a lot
What would ic6 offer look like for nvidia (same everything else, for software)?
I just got a verbal offer from Nvidia with the same yoe, so I'm curious as well. They offered 60k sign-on bonus?
your offer details?
I don't have concrete numbers yet, but they told me IC4, and ballpark (200/300/0). They said IC5 is 15+ yoe, so maybe you interviewed better lol. This is also in a low COL/zone 2 city. I do know a recent IC5 hire (same city) and they got more RSU but a lower base (210/500/?).
Is sign on lump sum 60 or split into 2x30? Also did they say any bonus or refresher?
split: 1st year 40 and 2nd year 20 repayable if left company in 1/1.5 years.
I see. Congrats btw. Is this bay area? Also won't google counter or match the offer?
i negotiated from 200k(160k+40k) tc to 280(190k+90k). in my case i was low balled initially
What IC level, yoe, and zone?
ic4 , 6 yoe , software
How long after the interview did you get offer?
almost 4 weeks but during holidays
This is a good offer
OP what is your final offer
Thats the final offer, recruiter said its final offer take it or leave it...didn't care even when I said I have other pending offer from one of the FAANGs.
Did you take it?
Did you take it
yes. I see 20% TC improvement so took it
Sent you a message
Hi… did you get s better offer after negotiation. I am almost in the same boat. Got similar offer for IC5.
You can negotiate but be prepared to lose it
