Finished my onsite about a week ago. Got an email from the recruiter yesterday that they want to have a chat with me around the middle of next week. Does Spotify call to reject instead of email? Do any recruiters have candidates wait for 3 business days to reject? Waiting for the result drives me crazy. Update: i got a verbal offer! There was zero clue on the email.
My observation: If they schedule a call with you after onsite then itās a reject! (This is because they want to show how professional they are so they look good) If they call you without even scheduling it then it is acceptance ( this is because they want to show how excited they are to extend you an offer and discuss numbers before sending written offer)
Sounds like an offer to me. I always say Iāll get back to them regardless of if it sounds like a great offer over the phone. There are so many things to consider before making that decision. Iāve never heard of a recruiter calling to reject since thatād be a lot of time spent when they could be reaching out to new candidates to make money. A reject isnāt worth scheduling a call with.
Iāve also had several recruiters schedule the offer call in advance, and one that tried to surprise call me with an offer. Only been rejected my email after a short period of hearing nothing after an on-site.
How was the onsite coding and design?
I interviewed for a non tech role. Sorry i couldn't help.
usually recruiter will hint an offer (good news / positive feedback etc) in email if not explicit about it.

Can't imagine any company scheduling a call to reject you. At that point it's just wasted time on their part, unless they want you to interview for a different position/role. Edit: to be clear plenty will call, its the scheduling a call days out that seems weird for a rejection. Maybe it's just me though.
Eh, Google called me to reject me 4 years ago. Heard they still do that
Google calls for rejecting. And so does many good companies
