Right now i work remotely as a contractor. My next job i will accept nothing less than in office or hybrid. Some sprints are slower than others (i dont work at toxic workplace) and i usually spend my time doing fun things like a bike ride. Whats this like in an office. My guess is that if you prove to coworkers and PO that you submit your assignments on time does anyone care if you leave the office for hours for personal time?#returntooffice #hybrid
I don't think they'll let you leave the office lol. I'm remote only from now on and will never look for an in office role.
It depends completely on the team culture that you’re joining. Important to try to figure out from someone else already there or in the interview. Most places I’ve been at don’t care if you duck out for an hour around lunch time. The flexibility goes both ways though - if you leave for a couple hours in the middle of the day you also might be expected to stay late collaborating with team mates some evenings.
Depends on your team. If it's more than an hour, I would let the manager and certain people on the team know and block out time on my calendar
no one cares. if you come back smelly they will care tho
I’ll use myself as an example… at a work horse like Goldman. No one cared. If they needed me they’ll message even if I’m showing as away. I have a coworker that keeps his Skype at away, every day of the week
