Does anyone have more than one realtor (from different companies) helping them show properties? I’m a buyer in this case. I would like to know what are the pros and cons. Would there be any legal issues if I go with one or the other if I’m going for private showings with both (of course separately)? Insights appreciated. Context: My agent is great with research, market insights and paper work. But he often is lazy to show us private showings and sometimes his boss does but other times this guy just talks about us not being able to afford some houses. While I agree, some houses are stretch; we do have certain requirements and if it checks those boxes, we are ready to go all in. But his laziness and dumb non sense responses irritates me sometimes.
The way I see it is the realtor that shows me the best house get my money. Now if a realtor just showed you the house and then you went with another one for the same house that would be iffy
Added some context to the main post if that helps.
I’d say completely switch realtors then.
Knowing how relators earn money to support their living and family ask yourself if what you are asking is ethical regardless of whether it is legal or not. Don’t be the jerk.
yeah bc if U support the cute realtor girls they’ll likely “go on to do great things.”
Lol.. ethical my ass. Because realtors are thinking about your family then when they are trying to sell or buy a house? Please… it’s all about the $$$$$. I’ve blown my top at a realtor before who kept encouraging me to overbid.
U cannot. It’s in the contract. Unless ur rich enuf to engage multiple firms n pay them 3% each but then u won’t be asking this question
Wrong. As a buyer you don’t sign any contract with them until you make an offer. But still, it’s a little two-faced; I wouldn’t do it.
Most realtors make u sign a contract after showing 1-2 homes for this reason. If they didnt probably cause they don’t care about u as a client
I worked with one realtor it also viewed houses with Redfin.
As a seller you enter into a contract with a Realtor to sell your home. Bringing in another would likely violate the contract and open you up to liability. Not a smart thing to do. As a buyer you’re not in a contract so you have a lot more flexibility.
My realtor instead of helping me with the property that I found myself via Zillow, shed tried to convince me to overpay for it. She doesn’t deserve sh&t. Realtors are some of the worst people on earth. Treat them as such. And they are paid waaaay too much for what they do.
Then you switch relator and go work with someone else. You don’t keep working with shit relator after they have been shitty.
99% of them are shitty and have incentives misaligned with yours as a buyer that’s the problem
Just get a good agent. No point in trying to rally two bad ones.
