AFAIK, you still have to renew your visa every 3 years. 60 days countdown is still in effect. So apart from infinite renewals, what are the big benefits?
You can leave the country and get a H1B back without lottery if you find another offer
Ship your spouse from your country and he/she can work on H4 EAD, which is as good as green card(in terms of employment) work for anything. No STEM restrictions. You can get him/her into real estate earn commissions. Get him/her to drive uber while you are at work. Two salaries better than one. But his/her EAD is only as good as your job Edit: updated india to your country
I140 is one step closer to getting greencard because of the current situation which is taking years otherwise it should have been straightforward i485 after getting i140
If you don't have approved 140 after 6 years on H1B you need to take a break of 1+ year before applying for H1B again and I guess you go through lottery again.
No exit tax if you decide to leave US
This I-140 process easily takes around 2 years. Once the process is started, you cannot leave the company during that time. Apart from that, no other advantage.
