Does bloomberg match compensation?
I have an offer from Bloomberg and coming interviews from FANG. Im wondering if doing an interview is worth it because if I do, the only reason is to get an offer from them and let Bloomberg match the compensation. This is for new grad by the way.

Salary will beat FANG, but total comp will definitely not. I was an intern there and got a return offer.
Right. That’s why Im thinking if it is still worth doing interviews with FANG, as I can use their offer to match TC to get higher compensation from Bloomberg. The only thing I am not sure is if BB even matches any.
The base might be 10-20% better but FANG won’t just raise your base because of that. FANG TC will likely be 20-40% higher. If you’re in love with BB for some reason you could use them as leverage, but I’ve found them particularly unwilling to negotiate. Not sure what others’ experiences have been.
Be wary of the team you go to. Lot of legacy stuff there with little to no docs. You may end up gaining experience in their systems which aren't marketable anywhere else.
Thanks for the heads up and this does worry me. Do you know any actually legit teams?
I'll just make a general statement which won't be very helpful. Most of the Software teams there are doing plumbing and maintenance. Some are re-writing legacy stuff. Some are

Exactly same story with one of my friend and I, while he didn’t even bother to fly to NYC. But I did, and it felt excited at first, but then realize it’s super tiring. The offer isn’t comparable cuz it’s kinda diff industry. Bloomberg was tough on negotiation, retracted offer after I expressed tiny preference over another comp. BTW, Bloomberg folks are real assholes. People there spent 5+ yrs in the same place, grew arrogant and think they’re some kinda king. Which is totally hilarious. One interviewer, in his 40s didn’t even know priority queue isn’t sorted. It’s really funny, don’t waste time.
