Hi so I’m graduating spring 24 so am looking for full time jobs right now. I have someone who will refer me to google, I just gotta send them my resume. My question is, does google check ur gpa/ask for your transcript? Bc my actual gpa is a 3.16 or something but my resume has my old gpa which was 3.3 lol. I just don’t want to get not looked at bc of my gpa bc I don’t think it’s a good representation of my skills at all. And I know that a lot of people in tech also don’t put their true gpa I just remember when applying for an internship they ask for your transcript so I’m wondering if they will do the same for entry level roles? So do you guys think it would be ok to keep 3.3 on my resume? Thanks! #google #amazon #netflix #meta #facebook #linkedin #faang #newgrad #gpa #entrylevel #apple #atlassian #stripe
Nobody cares about your GPA, just take it off
Just remove your gpa from the resume
Google will ask for transcript. I repeat, they will ask you to submit an unofficial transcript. You could send them a fake one, because I am 99% sure they won't ask for an official one. But that is VERY dangerous, so do not do that. Even if there is a 1% chance that your university finds out, you will be kicked out.
Yea no I would never send them a fake one, I’d just be like uhh sorry I forgot to update my gpa on my resume haha but yea I think I’m just gonna take it off. Thanks!
