Does phone screen feedback get reviewed in amazon in debrief?

Wondering if the interview feedback from your phone screen gets included in the interview debrief or hiring decision... I did really well on a med/hard in the phone screen but one of the onsite loops I bombed pretty badly one interview... can they get any info from that positive phone screen feedback?

mostly they talk about onsite..The readon u were eligible for onsite was phone screen..Now onsite decides the hire/no hire! onsite loop was probably by bar raiser..typically tries to stress interview ppl

The BR actually went well it was another interview that I didn’t get the solution solved but it was a kind of mixed OOD design mixed with a LC that got me all tripped up. Oh well I will wait and see

yeah if Bar raiser is yes...chances are u r hired..Plus if most ppl vote yes..u are ✅..so i would say not to worry for one loop. all the best

The phone screen feedback is part of the information the on-site interviewers can look at before or after the on-site. Whether they actually bother to is another matter. Also, it’s not likely to be considered as part of the debrief/evaluation after your on-site, especially if your phone screen interviewer was not part of your loop.

Got it thanks. I guess if I had had it the other way (poor performance in the phone screen) wouldn’t have got the onsite

Never happened. But to be honest whenever I look into the candidate detail before the interview, any non-green or worse section might leave me some negative unpression. But it is still very trivial.

What’s non-green ? Is that the level of feedback that you input for each area covered in phone screen? Same for the onsite o interviews ?

The only time I saw that phone screen was discussed was that the candidate bombed the entire interview. They lacked very basic algorithm knowledge and an interviewer brought up that the candidate did very well in the phone screen - optimal solution and explained the solution clearly. Everyone looked at it and while no one said it out right, you could tell that people questioned the integrity of the phone screen. Candidate was marked as not to be recycled for two years.

That’s a valid use, definitely want to understand the root cause. It’s a big waste of time for everyone if they get through. Could be that they cheated somehow? We have had a few people brought in after doing a test who we scratched our head on how they got the scores they did.

It is very possible that the candidate cheated but there is no way to prove it to justify blacklisting the candidate for life.

I personally look to avoid asking the same question, that is it

I haven't seen phone screen discussed in the debrief.
