Does r2i makes sense for following reasons?

1. Never ending GC queue(kids will file if rules stay same when they grow up) 2. Not comfortable to depend on working forever to stay in US(due to visa). As no chance of taking break from work for health or any other circumstances if on visa. 3. First generation family with no family support 4. Don’t want to be on a dependent visa due to uncertainity of relation with spouse 5. Staying here long term and retiring in India means setting up same challenges for kids when they are grown ups.

Too many variables known only to you to answer this poll. You need to post your nw, family situation back home, if you d continue to work, tier 1 or tier 2 city targeted, age of kids, age of parents, ability to come back if things don't work, etc

NW - sufficient to live and retire in India but not in US. Also have to keep working to stay in US due to visa. Family - will be in separate city as we would be in tier1 (mostly accessible only by flight due to distance). Again no family in same city Work - might take a break for some time if moving to India to work on health and settling down phase for kids and whole family Kids - elementary age Parents - mid 60s Ability to come back - yes but only as a dependent of spouse and then have to hop on the H1-b game again. So kind of hoping to not come back if returning as it defies the whole purpose of move in first place

You won't get genuine opinions here. Blind is always biased towards "You should return to India but wtf am I not getting my GC sooner."
