Does the recruiter get a cut on the offer

Just curious, does the recruiter get a cut for every hire? I imagine if they do, then they have an incentive to push for more salary with the hiring committee. This is specifically for inhouse recruiters, lets say FAANG recruiters, and not from recruiting firms.

At FANGT companies they do not get a commission based on how many people they hire.

FANGT? 😂

Not true. They are under a quota to hire a specific number of people

In house recruiters typically do not because it makes no sense to do so. They may get bonuses and other incentives based on number of offers accepted and stuff like that, but no percentage of salary stuff.

No, otherwise my TC would be 🎄50 Companies would be making much bigger offers if recruiters got a % of salary commission

External recruiters get a percentage of the salary . But they don't necessarily want to negotiate much, because they would rather close the deal quickly than risk losing the deal for little delta gain.

They can get a bonus for various reasons such as reducing time to hire but not for suggesting higher comps for hires. In fact that is a detractor
