Does your company offer childcare benefits?

MSFT has a backup care program via Bright Horizons. A great benefit I have used so far for some summer camps and tutoring. Couldn’t imagine not having this. Such a cost savings benefit. What other companies offer similar programs? Would like to have this benefit in my next job (as long as my kids are still school age). TC $240K

My company does 😂 it's a great benefit. I'm shocked how many parents don't know about it at their company and don't use it.

Can you enlighten me on this? We have this benefit, but I have never used it myself. My kids go to daycare and Extended day program during the school year. In the summer, the school age child would enroll in the summer camp. How does bright horizons backup care work in this case? I thought it was literally only for backup care..but that backup care situation never took place for me..

If your daycare is part of the backup care program you would just go through bright horizons to reserve those days. Bright horizons pays the daycare for those days and you pay the copay. If your daycare is not part of this program….. we have an option to do out of network and get reimbursed. I only used it for summer camps.
