I ordered an item(thats shippable) for $150 in Facebook marketplace. It was covered by so called "Facebook Purchase Protection" at the time of purchase. I never received the item or its tracking number. I filed a claim with Facebook. The claim was immediately closed by a Bot saying the item is not eligible for Purchase Protection. I never thought company like meta scam like this. TLDR: If you have $100 to waste, better burn in the stove. Ordering anything in the marketplace is buying unwanted stress, wasting time and all stupid emails from Bots. How is this even legal? How is this company's stock close to $500 when their products are near garbage? Update: Meta ended up issuing refund after few email exchanges. Going forward, I wont make these type of purchases on their marketplace again. Unfortunately it's a breeding place of scammers. Lesson learnt #meta #Facebook #misc
Dispute with your credit card. Problem solved.
You have 90 days to do this btw.
Bro everyone knows items marked "shipping only" are scam, nobody orders those items off of marketplace, it's primarily used for door/public pickup of used items.
“I never thought company like meta scam like this.” You missed the entire decade of news on them it seems.
1.2 Trillion Dollar company is saying that it backs purchases some protection program. In reality it's not even worth toilet papers! No one suing Meta since it's all petty items - small $ amount and Meta thinks they can walk away with micro scams!
Facebook Marketplace Purchase Protection covers only eligible purchases in covered regions. Always read the fine print. You got double-scammed.
Broadcom, you are interpreting the partial data I provided to match your conclusion. I read fine print. I read the fine print even now it covers my purchase.
