Regardless of job family. If you have options, avoid these companies like the plague (not like covid, cuz that didn’t work too well) Don’t have options? Fine, but try to leave, jobs are abundant currently. They paying you a lot? What good is more money if they laid off 100s of your fellow citizens, and are paying you with the money saved. Most people won’t have this resolve yet. I haven’t been laid off or experienced this yet. But honesty it’s only a matter of time before this starts to get out of hand. “First they came for support, and I was not support, so I didn’t fight back. Next they came for marketing, and I wasn’t marketing, so I didn’t fight back Then they came for the new grads, and I wasn’t a new grad, so I didn’t fight back Now they have come for me, and no one is left to fight for me” EDIT this was inspired by the Google layoffs. If this happens or has happened at your company, Please comment the company below. More edit Removed India from the post. Lol I’m Indian, born in USA. I have nothing against Indians or any race taking the opportunities they have to improve themselves. This is not about the oversea workers hired. This is about the company that will throw their countries citizens to the bin, after getting rich in said country.

If only we had tech worker unions
It's absurd how not only they offshore jobs but hire from overseas and bring them here!! More Indians in US tech than Americans!! Absurd!!
We are now India Business Machines
I don't have a problem working with Indians or any other race for that matter, but I do not like working with people who are full of shit and promise things that they can't deliver
Eh? Google doesn't typically do layoffs. No one really has the luxury of picking a job they want. Many companies, for whom layoffs aren't standard, have had to resort to it during the pandemic. You can't predict a layoff. I'm still wondering what's the point of this post
“Indian, born in the USA” — wtf
Wdym. Is “Indian American” better for you?
OP conveniently calls themselves Indian/American based on context. Here it was better to portray as “Indian”
