Modi is a legend, will be remembered for centuries to come
A couple weeks after I left WePay, I got an email from JPMC (JPMC acquired WePay) saying I was “overpaid” and asking me to pay them back! I’m used to using BambooHR I never even liked the me@jpmc crap they introduced last year. I wish I left before the JPMC integration. I did end up sending them the money ($10,000+) but it inconvenienced me as I had to sell stocks in my brokerage account and withdraw money from my emergency fund. Now I’m totally screwed for a couple months to a year in case I get laid off at my new job because of a lack of an emergency fund. This has been the worst off boarding experience from any company I ever worked at.
WePay? WeCharge!
Exactly. WePay more like WeRacket
Sounds like WePay made a clerical mistake.
wtf why would you pay
Why did you pay? They have no legal standing asking you to pay back money here.
Of course they have legal standing if it's a legit overpayment.
Hiring a lawyer would’ve probably cost less than the $10k lol
I would have ignored it. Let them sue you
10K is too huge amount to just pay them like that, did they show the calculations atleast ?
When did they lay off the WePay HR?
What was your experience working at WePay like?
Were you overpaid? And if you were, I don't really see the problem here lol
We’ll never know. We had several types of vacation, mental health, personal days, all sorts of days off with WePay. Then we integrated our HR systems with JP Morgan Chase and that’s where all the issues started. They laid off all the WePay HR (the only people who would have knowledge of the math behind this) and then they claimed I owed them money and I just sent the money because I didn’t want any lawsuit or trouble. JPMC HR are all outsourced and have horrible English.
What do you mean we'll never know? It should be somewhat easy to figure out then could determine next course of action.
