Tiktok offer
i recently applied for a DD position with an okay salary range. Not ideal but it was workable for me since the job description said that there were equity grants in addition to the base pay. Levels/Glassdoor confirmed that similar roles had a similar base pay range with 20-25k worth of equity. I live in a LCOL area so I knew it might be an uphill battle, but Iâm not happy with my current role so I thought it was worth a shot. Iâd be fine if they met my current TC. After talking to the recruiter, the advertised range was total comp???? So the base comp was 30k less than the LinkedIn posting because it included 20-30k worth of RSUs. LinkedIn specifically labeled the comp as âbase payâ tho so I was super confused. Anybody else make the same mistake or am I just dumb? TC - 120k YOE - 2 #DoorDash #tech #compensation
Post the bottom of the job posting where it outlines what the compensation is covering
This is from the job description: âIn addition to base salary, the compensation package for this role also includes opportunities for equity grants.â And then they posted Pay Range:$xxx-$xxx for xyz location Knowing what I know now, I guess this implies that the equity grants is included in the pay range? I wish they were more explicit about the wording. It doesnât help that LinkedIn listed the base pay as the tc range in the description :/
That does seem shady. I would have assumed the same you did
