I wonder what work are they doing ? I see door dash as just one web app. I might be wrong but that’s exactly what it is
And Google is just a search page
What’s stupid in it answer the question
There's a lot more to DD than what it seems. I underestimated it too when I first applied and was shocked to find how many products are being worked on concurrently. We can't disclose specifically what's in the works, but just trust that it's much more sophisticated than "just a web app". And... did you not know that DD has native mobile apps or did you think our drivers carry laptops with them? Besides, other blinders have responded to your post saying that deliveries and logistics are far more complex than you can imagine. There's plenty of work to be done and we're considerably understaffed, hence the heavy work loads.
For these things- 1. Building scalable distributed systems 2. For building tools/services for businesses - doordash drive, doordash store setup, analytics 3. For building tools/servies for dashers - ex order acceptance, routes, dasherDirect service 4. For building consumer facing apps - dashpass, web clients, mobile clients 5. Solving optimization problems to improve operational efficiency 6. For building sales workforce; Doordash is branching heavily into bringing new verticals of convenience, alcohol, mom n pop stores etc to main platform 7. International expansion 8. Ghost kitchen vertical. 9. Doordash is also branching into setting up operations for restaurants where restaurants outsource all operation heavy items to doordash in exchange for fee. You need people to set these operations 10. Building solutions for robotics 11. Building internal tools
How do you know so much? I did not know most of them before joining Doordash.
Impressive!! Does this mean Dash stock is poised for solid upside in next 2 to 4 years?
How is doordash Seattle? Can somebody speak about performance review and bonuses also?
Friend recently got an offer for 210/720/20. Great refreshers👍
For E5. Wow
The algorithm for serving orders and mapping out deliveries is actually really sophisticated. I drive sometimes and it feels like magic tbh
