DoorDash layoffs?
Someone I know got laid off today from DoorDash. Wondering how severe it is or if people know the reason behind it. Edit: To give more context - multiple people on the immediate team were let go. It was the privacy team. TC: 200

I just joined and a couple weeks ago and when I check Slack, it seems like more and more people are joining every week. Haven't heard of any layoffs yet personally.

To be fair privacy and security departments are very small.

Yeah same here. I got more info from my friend and they said their manager stated performance reasons but they had been working towards a promotion and had had no prior warning they were performing poorly. Very sudden and shady.
Your friend was fired and making up what happened to others. Just look up the other people who left for better opportunities. They started immediately elsewhere. Also he had warnings — lots of them.
