Okay, congratulations for these offers. Are you from a top CS undergraduate school?
Considering your future if you stay and convert to full time at the one you choose (which I’d say is most important consideration) MongoDB - public, but pays less than DD. If you’re into databases and distributed systems, may be the best place for learning the specific area. If you wanna be a product engineer, probably not the one for you. Gusto - in a good stage to make you a bunch of money when/if they IPO, but obviously higher risk and lower initial liquid comp. Doordash - Will pay the most and I’ve heard good things about engineering there. Maybe overvalued, but seems they could do really well long term. Safest bet, best brand value which could be important because new grad market is over saturated.
Thank you! this is very helpful, I really appreciate this.
No problem! Check out levels.fyi for salaries btw, they’re the most accurate.
MongoDB is much more better than DD on technical side. If you like product, DD may be bettet
Depends on the role/team and how well that team aligns with where you want to take your career. All of these companies’ name recognition are similar enough that the brand name won’t make a difference.
I feel Doordash has significantly more name recognition (but that could be due to me being a hungry college student), but I agree - depends more on the role/team. Unfortunately I don’t think there’s much information about that until after an offer is accepted.
