Doordash doing silent layoff 🚨🚨🚨
Heard Doordash is doing silent layoff through PIP after Mid Year Perf evaluation. A bunch of people I interviewed from Doordash recently confirmed that the management is engaging in silent layoff through fake perf reviews after Mid Year and Year End to scare engineers and visa holders and create work for HR and recruiters to backfill the headcount. Is it true ?

What does fake perf evaluations even mean?
Saying people are fired for performance when in reality they are laying off people
Realistically we need another 20% cut, a lot of engineers are not performing to the level. I don’t mind calling it perf review or layoff

People are confirming this and calling it out. Shame on your CEO Tony Xu for torturing engineers with such cruel practices. Call it a layoff if you have the balls. Don't label humans as low performers and fire them using a force bucket.
