Roles at each company sound pretty similar (it is quant dev for Arrowstreet, but from what I heard from a recruiter, it sounds pretty much the same as SWE). Estimated ft TC from levels: Doordash: 135/44/20 Uber: 128/28/13 Arrowstreet: unknown (some people here and Glassdoor said they pay less than the market rate, while some people here say they pay good, but 0 information about the exact number). Pros: Doordash: -potential gain from ipo if I get a return offer, depending on when they do that -start up environment -potentially higher impact and more learning Uber: -more known to tech -probably internship will be more structured Arrowstreet: -potentially will open me more doors for finance (I am also interested in trading roles for ft) Cons: Doordash: -less structured program (I’m assuming) -heard some bad stories about wlb -uncertainty about the success of business Uber: -less TC for ft -also heard that it has a bad wlb Arrowstreet: -I know almost nothing about the company (tc, culture, work, etc) -Less known to tech firms
OP, this shouldn’t be even a question
Which one would you recommend, and why?

Ops, I voted DD
You are welcome to join. A lot of folks from uber are joining doodash
If you are new grad then I recommend you Uber.
I recommend Uber. Focus on the learning opportunity. You will end up learning more at Uber and we have interns do meaningful projects. See blog post https://eng.uber.com/safety-engineering-interns-2020/ i have talked to folks who have done internships in multiple places and felt their Uber internship experience was great. Of course individual groups/mentors also make a difference in learning experience. So I would weigh that more in your decision. Uber definitely has better brand value from a tech perspective.
If you are looking for a place to be mentored and hand held, Uber might be better given where DoorDash is at the moment. If you are anyone but a new grad and are a self starter, DoorDash will give you substantially more opportunities for impact, learning and development, and ultimately economic payout.
