I have seen blind posts about draw a circle interview question. What does this exactly mean?
Lmao. Pure Storage is notorious for asking this question. While youre at it do the “given 4 points, decide if they form a square or not”. They asked that as well
Isn't that just trivial linear algebra? How is that a useful interview question except for maybe a position in games?
They will add tricks to it bruh. Believe in half of what you see and nothing of what you hear
I had that question in MS: you are given a function that draws a dot accepting x,y parameters. Draw a circle
I was asked a similar thing. Fill all pixels in a circle
Pick a radius. x=rcos(angle), y=rsin(angle). for angle=0 to 360 do dot(x,y). Can do it with the closed form too but probably less efficient.
Not sure about interview questions but I remember drawing a circle in C using Bresenham’s algorithm.
Thanks, did not know there is a known algo for this. This is probably what interviewer looks for.
I’ve been asked this before, apparently the point was not to “reinvent the wheel” and just use a known algo. 🤷♂️ personally I don’t think it’s a great question
