CTO leaving dropbox again within less than 2 years. Will this have a negative impact on DBX stocks? https://blog.dropbox.com/topics/company/congratulations--timothy-- What’s d reason @dropboxers? Why can’t you keep your CTOs longer? I care about this since I have invested in DBX and feel it has potential to go up. But these CTOs leaving cannot be positive I feel. #dropbox #dropboxcompany
Good talents are leaving, infrastructure is crumbling. They're de-investing in talent, reducing healthcare coverage in the middle of the pandemic, all the good ICs are leaving in droves
Are you there now?
No, I left recently but a surprising number of dropbox SWEs reached out today
dropbox is doomed
how is it still paying new hires 400k+ TC ?
Why do you say that? Got an interview next week lol, is there reason for concern about joining?
What am I missing? The announcement says he's becoming president of Dropbox, not that he's leaving the company.
The CTO is leaving. Read the whole thing. This post is not about Timothy's promo, it's about the CTO's departure
Oh right, thanks! :)
How’s dropbox relevant? (I know the irony)
😂
Just like our cloud.
Who cares!!
This is sad to read, what are everyone’s thoughts on DBX stock. Sell now or wait until earnings date 11/5?
I sold long time ago. They can't compete with gdrive or onedrive.
I think hellosign and their doc offering is more interesting. Only thing missing is a slack like messaging to bundle everything into a single application.
Product is dead straight up
Reason: Stress 😂
Microsoft and Google ate their lunch and didn't even leave table scraps. They're done
They killed the product when limited number of connected PCs to 3. I know bunch of people that switched to OneDrive or gdrive after this.
Good point but that doesn’t explain CTO leaving in <2 yrs
Maybe he was against the remote first idea
