Dropbox after layoff - "Impacted employees will be eligible to keep company devices (phones, tablets, laptops, and peripherals) for personal use." Meta after layoff - "Return your Phone, Laptop, and Portal devices (discontinued) within 7 business days." The next level of Meta's "Year of efficiency" is to make money out of these old devices by selling it on FB Marketplace.
It’s not just that the devices are kept, but Dropbox actually take it back, wipe it, and return it to the employee
Amazon after Layoff- Grab a 🍌 on your way out.
Banana only for customer
Then again is there anyone left who isn't an Amazon customer?
How's the package for dropbox?
I actually like my Portal. I don’t know why Meta needed it back after discontinuing them
How is 🍎 compared to Meta?
In the grand scheme of things those are nothing tbh.
Amazon: laptop turns into a brick at the end of the day. Keep the mouse if you want
amazon provided an external mouse for free in the first place?
You mean the company that laid off after making record profit? Got it
It’s more about corporate info security
They remotely wipe and resets the machine
It’s a common theme. corporations were bloated and spending on unnecessary projects. This ER so far 80% of the companies did good. Also it is clear from meta that market is giving well done cookies to companies that reduce costs by firing employees. There is probably few more months before this ends.
I just kept my stuff after I left Meta a few years back, they don't care bro
Thief!
