Got an offer from them couple of months ago but decided to reject and go to a different company (not Amazon). Recently got an email from Dropbox recruiter asking if I want to explore opportunities with them. Dropbox guys, is it normal? Are you trying to hire a lot nowadays? #dropbox #hiring
Could ask if they'd improve the offers TC
seriously… job posting wanted 8+ YOE. I have 11 non-tech only offered me 140k + 50k RSU like ugh 😑
Too late, already joined another company and I like it so far
hi op could you share your current company name?
DM me
thx☺️
No man. Only you. They want you specifically.
I know, I'm a special one ;)
We’re hiring a ton across most groups in EPD
What’s EPD
Just curious, does Dropbox allow remote work from another state?
Recently applied to dropbox blindly on their careers site and I got contacted by a recruiter the day after. I applied two years ago the same way and got totally ignored. I think Dbx is definitely going on a hiring spree since they see the writing on the wall and need to start expanding their product offering outside of cloud storage. Their on-site was pretty brutal compared to Amazon/Msft. Got two LC hards and a pretty involved system design question. The other two rounds were kinda cookie-cutter (deep-dive and behavioural). I think I barely scraped by HC. So I wouldn't say they've lowered their hiring bar. Or maybe I'm just biased since I've accepted their offer. :) Msft TC: 200k L62 New Dbx TC: 275k IC2 Yoe: 4.5
Congratulations. Do not want to make you feel bad but my 3 yoe friend working as L60 at Microsoft got IC3 at 350k TC
Lmao idgaf
Is there a good outlook for Dropbox ? Their stock doesn’t seem to do well
Stock is up over 50% in the last year
Look at the larger picture
We are definitely conducting a lot more interviews and there are a lot of recs to fill, expanding and attrition due to remote first. That said, I have not seen any signs of lower bar. It is still one of the most difficult interviews to crack. Earlier: 2 out of 50 used to clear it Now: 10 out of 500 clear it This is pretty common in any expanding companies. Regarding stocks: it is 40% up this year n prospects look good. I mean we won’t go 2x 3x soon but stable increase. My joining stocks are 45% up in last 10months. So happy happy 😀
what are somethings you like the most about working at DB?
Agreed. My virtual onsite was f'ing brutal lol. I did well enough to get a hire decision from HC but I think just barely.
Does anyone here know if recruiters call regardless of whether you failed or not? Have a call with my recruiter today regarding my on-site.
Did you get an offer? How long after onsite did it take?
I see their job postings so often. They seem to only want seniors, cause they hate me 😂
