Dropbox is not intuitive anymore in 2020

I used dropbox in the past and it was extremely intuitive and just worked.. like an apple product. I would click on the dropbox icon at the top of the toolbar and I remember it being very intuitive. One single click and it opens up that dropbox folder on my local and I can do whatever I want. Now when I click open dropbox so many different links and symbols are popping up including some random stuff about using. zoom with dropbox.. so many features built into it. Anyone else feel the same?

According to their CEO, their ship wasn’t tight enough apparently. Starting Friday it will be.

An old school NFS with disaster recovery seems way more utilitarian to me anymore I wish we could go back. Their indexing and search functions are very capable and effective though.

It's sadly inundated with upsells and lower value features. We pride ourselves on not covering our product in ads for free users, but we're really just filling it with ads for DBX instead of ads for other goods. From the customer perspective, it still sucks.

It’s clear there are some really talented people working there from a technical standpoint it’s an incredible product but I think the product roadmap mgmt got a little off track somewhere along the way
