If there is one thing I trust the Bain guys to have done correctly during those layoffs, it’s covering perfectly the ass of the company by respecting any applicable labour law. This includes not laying off on criteria like gender, or any protected class
None of the female managers in my team were laid off. Only male. I sympathize as bias is a problem, but this particular observation is anecdotal.
