Anyone could share some light on how is this different from a normal System Design round? What is the expectation? Thanks! TC: 170k
Sounds like a traditional system design round
But It’s different 🫨
System design with more emphasis on the stack that is closer to the clients: Prepare for: - API design - Workfow design - HLD Deprioritise: - Technical infrastructure - Data model
Interesting. I thought API and data model would be extremely correlated
You do need to cover the data model
for Product, it focuses more on the user-facing components, e.g. api, logic, edge cases handling, real-time update, less on scaling your infra
Thanks friend! Any advices?
same thing but with a little more focus on the API
Security? Pagination? REST x SOAP x GraphQl? These sort of things?
in my interview I did the exactly same as a system design, but gave a little more detail about what APIs I would build. Didn’t touch soap or graphql topics, and iirc the interviewer asked about status codes (I probably didn’t speak enough about apis). My feedback was “good and strong signal in the product architecture interview”, ymmv
Any update op?
