I burned bridges with my previous team (left after 4 months, reported bullying) I am about to burn bridges with my new company (small start up, leaving after one week, shouldn't even have accepted the offer in the first place) These are my first jobs
Leaving after 4 months or one week isn't burning a bridge. You didn't have a bridge to burn yet. They'll forget you existed in a year or two.
Ok ty for your insight!
What happened with the new company? Just want to leave?
I shouldn't have accepted the offer. Bad decision, my mistake
I just don't like the team or the management
Fuck everyone all the time!!
I believe I just have troubles finding the right teams
I don't think I a untrustworthy
I always thought burning bridges was a way for companies to increase retention through social pressure like the 2 week notice. I feel the chance of you getting sniped by the team that you left with bad terms ( aka your ex-teammate being your interviewer, etc ) is like winning a lottery lol
I don’t think you burned bridges. They burned bridges with you. Big difference. Agree with above poster, chances that you’ll see these people again is very low. And if even if you did, why would you ever want to work with them again?
I don't really know, but my guess it that at this point normal rules don't apply anymore. Employers have decided to declare war against employees and at this point it's just everyone for themselves. Leaving and bouncing from positions should be understandable by any reasonable and normal person given how there is no reason anymore to be loyal to any one employer.
